Zach Fesperman
Originally from Kannapolis, NC I began sports at an early age. I have numerous years of experience playing baseball, basketball, football, running track, and cross country. Growing up active led me into the fitness field. I attended Lenoir-Rhyne University where I majored in Health & Exercise Science. During my time at LR I interned at Fitness Plus located at CVMC where I assisted in training older adults with certain disabilities (Parkinson’s disease, graduates of cardiac rehab, diabetes, etc). East Burke High School, where I learned about strength & conditioning for young adults. Lastly, the Solmaz Institute located at LR where I trained, encouraged, and taught overweight children about health and fitness.
After graduating I managed a Metabolic Conditioning (MetCon) based gym in Hickory. This allowed me to become proficient in metabolic conditioning style training, which is very time efficient and result driven. I was also the Wellness Coach at Hickory Day School for a year.
I then decided to venture out into the Obstacle Course Racing world since I had a background in running. I have completed 2 Spartan Races (1 Sprint & 1 Super) and 2 Warrior Dashes (best placement 30th/~2K). I held the Spartan SGX certification and know how to prepare for all types of obstacle course races. Running is always more fun when you’re running through the woods, water, and up hills with obstacles in your path. I continue to run local 5ks and half marathons when I’m not running obstacle course races. I'm extremely excited to be part of the Original Workout team whose reputation for being the finest personal training gym is the Carolina's makes it quite an honor.
I’m currently a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and Health Fitness Specialist (ACSM).
I enjoy training hard and pushing myself to be the best I can. I have many goals left to achieve and I want to help you achieve yours along the way. #ComfortableBeingUncomfortable
My Goals:
To complete the Spartan Trifecta (Complete 1 Sprint, 1 Super, & 1 Beast race in 1 year)
To complete a marathon
