Ryan Gant, NASM Certified Personal Trainer

For as long as I can remember, fitness, and sports performance have been my passion. Fortunately enough, over the past 6 years, Ive been able to turn this passion into a career. I definitely faced challenges getting to this point, but this has turned into the most rewarding “job” I could have ever imagined. I truly love what I do.
I’m not going to bore you with my long back story. However, there are few things I’m sure you guys would like for me to highlight.
-I was a high school and collegiate baseball player where I developed my love for the weight room and working out.
-In 2015, I graduated from Lenoir Rhyne University with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science.
-In 2016, I became certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) to be a personal trainer. This would lead to multiple other certifications in the years to come
-In 2017 I mustard up some courage and asked my beautiful wife Stephanie out on a date in late May. We now have a daughter who was born 5lb 8oz on Aug 8 2021
-Also in 2017 I competed in my first NPC Men’s physique competition
-In 2018, became the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Catawba Community College RedHawks Baseball Program. Also, competed in another physique competition
-In 2020, became the Strength and Conditioning coach for Athletes Lab out of Maiden NC.
There’s a lot more “stuff” that happened in between all that but I wanted to give you the finer points.
I have dedicated my life to helping others achieve their goals. I hope I can help you with yours. Whether your a kid trying to commit to play a college sport, or someone trying to look good in a swim suit and drop a few pounds, I’m your guy. "So I decided to take the steps needed to live a healthier life and get in shape. I have struggled with motivation, knowledge, and support when I attempted this before. I did some research online and found Original Workout here in Hickory. Ryan Gant reached out to me after I sent in an inquiry online. Let me say, I thought I had watched videos and thought I knew what I was doing. Man was I ever wrong. One assessment later and I am sore from what at the time seemed like a simple workout. I learned I definitely did not have the proper form or knowledge. I would workout for over an hour and hardly feel the burn. I worked out with Ryan for only 30 minutes and feel the burn and pain from the workout. Granted it is a good pain from knowing I actually worked my muscles how they are designed to be used. I had a second session today and felt the burn during the session. So far no pain. Ryan taught me the importance of proper stretching today. So hopefully no pain right. Well as the saying goes...
